Description

This chest tomb, located in the churchyard 5 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Leonard, dates from the mid-18th century. It features dressed stone with a moulded plinth and corner pilasters that have elaborately ribbed bases. Each side of the chest has a projecting central tablet, and the slab top is moulded around its edge. The inscriptions were replaced in the early 20th century, with the earliest inscription commemorating Amelia Day, who passed away in 1913.
