Description
This is a detached house located at 24 Jogglers Hill, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from ham stone, which is partly cut and squared and partly coursed rubble. The roof is made of double Roman clay tiles and features plain gables, along with brick chimney stacks.
The house has two storeys and consists of four bays, with bay 1 possibly being a 19th-century extension or rebuild. The windows are hollow-chamfered mullioned types; bays 3 and 4 have their windows set in chamfered recesses. Bay 1 features three-light windows on both levels, while the upper bay 2 has a two-light window. The lower bays 3 and 4 contain four-light windows with labels and are of an earlier design. All upper windows have coped gables above, with bay 1 being larger. It appears that the windows in upper bays 3 and 4 may have been heightened.
In the lower bay 2, there is a chamfered cambered-arched doorway with a deep lintel and a label above, leading to a plain boarded door. The east gable has 20th-century casement windows, and there is a lean-to extension at the rear. The west gable features a throughway and a matching range of buildings that angle around the corner, which have been adapted for use as garages. The interior has not been seen.
