Description
Boundary railings and a gateway, dating from around 1900, are located about 23 metres south-west of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. Made of cast iron, the railings stand approximately 1.2 metres high and feature alternate plain spikes and triple-leaf finials. The matching gates do not have spikes but include an added middle rail with a quatrefoil ornament and arched bracing on the top and middle rails. There is a simple overthrow to the gate, which includes a lamp. These railings and gateway connect the dovecote to the school and enhance the setting of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin.
