Description
The front boundary wall and summerhouse, located to the south of the Manor House, are likely from the 19th century. The boundary wall is made of roughly cut and squared stone, standing about 2.1 meters high, and features a thin angled coping. It extends southward from the southeast corner of the Manor House. Near the house, there is a gateway with a bolection-mould architrave, which is said to incorporate a top section from a former fireplace in the house. This gateway frames a wrought-iron gate with barbed spearpoints on the middle and top rails. At the southern end of the wall, there is a small summerhouse constructed from similar masonry, topped with a hipped plain clay-tiled roof. The east wall of the summerhouse has a small circular window, while the north side, facing the house, is open and supported by two timber posts. Together, these features enhance the setting of the Manor House and contribute to the overall street scene in the area.
