Description
The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century rectory, later converted into a house. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed material, with chamfered quoins, a tile roof, coped verges, and brick stacks at the ends. The front elevation is symmetrical, with two storeys and an attic. It has three bays, featuring tripartite sash windows; the centre lights of the ground floor have 16 panes, while the side lights have 4 panes. The first floor centre window is a 12-pane sash. All windows have exposed sash boxes. A central door opening is topped by an open triangular pediment resting on pilasters; the reveals are panelled and contain a half-glazed door with an arched fanlight featuring radiating glazing bars. A three-bay wing extends at a right angle to the rear and contains sash windows with glazing bars. A 20th-century wing to the right return is not considered to be of architectural interest.
