Description

Mulberry House is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of West End in Wedmore. The house is constructed from coursed and squared rubble, with end pilasters, a moulded cornice, and an ashlar parapet featuring a plain coping. The roof is slate, and the gable ends have ashlar stacks with moulded caps. The building has two storeys and five bays. The first floor has nine-light sash windows with plain stone surrounds, stepped voussoirs, and twelve panes per window. The ground floor also features twelve-pane sash windows in similar surrounds. A central door opening has a six-panelled door, with the top four panels glazed, set within a stone doorcase. The doorcase has a triglyph frieze and a triangular pediment supported by three-quarter Tuscan columns.
