Description

This is a chest tomb dated 1827, located in the churchyard 5 metres west of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Blackford. It is made of dressed stone and has a plain oblong shape with corner pilasters and a slab top. The tomb is enclosed by a railed structure, featuring an urn finial at each corner, although the urn finial at the southeast corner is missing. At the time of the last survey in April 1984, the tomb was much overgrown with ivy.
