Description

The Hill Monument, located in the churchyard and 5 metres north of the Church of the Holy Trinity, is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is made of freestone and features a cambered slab resting on a frieze, which is supported by fluted corner pilasters. The ends of the tomb have cartouches, while the sides display large plain cartouches with text. The monument is set on a plain plinth. The earliest recorded date associated with the monument is Joseph Hill, from 1767.
