Description

The Cedars is a house with probable origins in the 17th century, significantly altered in the late 18th century. The house has a roughcast exterior, a double Roman tile roof with coped verges (the right-hand verge having an acorn finial), and three rendered stacks, one rising from the eaves. It follows an irregular frontage with a cross passage plan. The windows are 2-light casements with glazing bars. A 6-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, is located to the right of the house.

To either side of the frontage are sections of low rubble walls that slope downwards to a forecourt wall constructed of random jointed ashlar with a stone capping. A further, 3-metre high section of rubble wall extends for 50 metres westwards along the roadside.
