Description

Bridgestone is a detached cottage with origins dating back to the 17th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble of Ham stone, with some ashlar dressings, and features a thatched roof between stepped coped gables and brick end chimney stacks. The cottage has two storeys and three bays with irregular fenestration. Most of the windows are horizontal-bar casement types. The first bay has a three-light later pattern bay window with a timber lintel below. The second bay has a two-light later pattern window above, while the lower left of the third bay features a two-light later pattern window. The upper third bay has later casements set in an earlier frame, and the lower right of the third bay has a three-light ovolo-mould stone mullioned window with a label. The lower second bay has a boarded door with a light cut in, set in a plain opening, and accessed by seven steps.

On the west gable, there is a stone with the inscription "TS 1754", a two-light casement on the first floor, and a 20th-century casement in a former doorway below. The interior has not been seen.
