Description
The East and West gateways and South boundary wall to the Rectory are 19th-century structures made of local stone rubble coursed, featuring Ham stone ashlar gateways. The walls stand approximately 1.75 meters high and are supported by square rusticated ashlar piers with moulded square tops. The piers have curved sweeps that match pairs of gate piers. The East gateway is adorned with a fine pair of 19th-century cast iron gates that have bud decoration finials. These features are significant as they contribute to the setting of the main approach to the Church of St. Martin of Tours.
