Description

The Rectory is a house, now serving as a rectory, built in the 18th century and refaced in the early 19th century. It is constructed of ham stone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with coped gables. The east bay has a hipped roof behind a parapet with a balustraded panel, and there are stone and brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high, with an attic, and consists of four bays, with the fourth bay likely being a later addition.

Notable architectural features include a plinth, rusticated quoins, a cornice, and a parapet. The plain sash windows have single dividing bars, with double bars in bays one and three, all set in architraved surrounds. The projecting stone porch in bay one is supported by Ionic columns and features a full entablature, with later 19th-century double doors that have ornamental leaded glass panels. The attic windows behind the parapet in bays one and three have segmental lead-covered roofs. Bay four includes a single-storey angled bay window with a pierced ornamental parapet, a string course, and rusticated quoins, while the upper window is set in a keystoned architrave. The interior has not been seen.
