Description
This building is a range of farm structures located approximately 5 metres south of Croft Head Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It includes a pigsty, cart-sheds, cow byres, stables, a granary, and implement sheds, all with lofts above. The construction features squared limestone with sandstone quoins and dressings, topped with a pantile roof. The building is 1½ stories high and consists of 12 bays.
On the left side, there are two segmental cart-arches made of herringbone-tooled voussoirs with roughly-tooled quoins, and the left arch has paired battened board doors. At the far left, three pig troughs are present with shaped lintels above them. On the right end, there are two arches for implement sheds with timber lintels. The remaining ground-floor openings are quoined and feature board or plank stable doors. The loft openings are fitted with board-shuttered pitching windows or lifting doors, all having roughly-tooled sills and lintels. The roof is hipped at the left end. This building is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
