Description

The Church of All Saints, built in 1894 by Armfield and Moscrop of Darlington, is a Grade II listed building. It is constructed from snecked squared tooled stone and features graduated Lakeland slate roofs with stone copings and ridges. This simple two-cell church is designed in the Early English style and includes a south porch and a bellcote at the west end, along with a north vestry addition. The church has cusped lancets, a three-bay nave, and a four-bay chancel. Notable architectural details include diagonal corner buttresses and sloped and stepped bay division buttresses.
