Description
This shelter, likely built in the 1920s, is constructed from ashlar stone and features a graduated stone slate roof topped with a tall lead ball finial. It is a small circular structure with an entrance that has an open panel on either side. The door jambs and panel divisions are circular in shape. Inside, the floor is paved with radial stone, and eight radial joists support an octagonal king post, against which the rafters are closely abutted. The rafters are ashlared to create a sweeping effect at the roof eaves. An inscription on the rear wall reads: "In memory of Edward and Mary Temple."
