Description

Langbaurgh Hall is a villa-style house built in the 1830s. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a pantiled roof. The house comprises a main block and a left-rear domestic wing, forming an L-shaped plan. The design is Classical in style. The south front is symmetrical with three bays and features a plinth band, quoins, a first-floor band, a cornice, and a blocking course. A six-panel door is set within a stone Roman Doric doorcase, with an overlight above. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within stone architraves. The roof is hipped with corniced ridge stacks. The left return has four bays and is in a similar style, but without window architraves. A simpler, less imposing rear wing connects to the main block. A lead pump on the left return is dated. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
