Description
Langbaurgh Cottage and attached barn is a mid-18th century and early 19th century house and barn, with later alterations. The house is constructed of rendered brick, while the barn has boarded panels and stone dressings. Both have pantiled roofs with stone features. The house faces southwest, and the barn extends northeast to form an L-shaped plan. The house is in two builds. The older two-bay section has a central four-panel door with an overlight. All windows have been replaced with Yorkshire sash windows. The older part of the house features stone gable copings, kneelers, and end chimneys. The west (garden) front of the barn is two storeys and four bays, with upper windows that have hinges for external shutters and now have plain glazing. An external stone staircase leads to a door on the north return.
