Description

Fern Villa is a house dating from the early 18th century, constructed from hammer-dressed limestone with a Welsh slate roof. Originally designed as a three-cell hearth-passage entry, it has since been converted into two separate dwellings.

The garden facade features two storeys and three windows on the first floor. The left side is completely obscured by ivy, but there is evidence of a blocked doorway with a window to the left. On the right side, there are two four-pane sash windows beneath wooden lintels. The first floor also has a window to the left that is obscured by overgrowth, and to the right, there are again two four-pane sashes. The roof is steeply pitched and includes a ridge stack and a stack at the right end.

Inside, the property retains original oak tie beams, along with a massive bressumer and an inglenook in the main room.
