Description
This is a row of six early 19th-century buildings, numbered 97 to 102, forming part of Westgate. They are built of coursed stone with a pantile roof. Each property has two windows on the first floor, with stone lintels above. Some of the windows retain glazing bars. Number 98 has a four-panel door, while the other properties have modern doors, each with a rectangular fanlight and a stone lintel. Two steps lead up to the doorways. The ground floor windows are generally single, and some of these also have glazing bars. Number 97 has a shop front with plain pilasters, and number 100 features a modern bow window. The buildings are part of a group with numbers 72 to 86, 86A, 87 to 104, and 104A, as well as numbers 105 to 108 and number 110, with numbers 72 to 81 and 83 to 85 being particularly notable buildings of local interest.
