Description

This building at 86 and 86A Westgate dates back to the 18th century. It is a two-storey building with attic space, constructed of coursed stone. The roof is covered in pantiles and has two dormers, with a brick eaves course. The upper floor has one window with sliding sashes. The ground floor has three windows with sliding sashes, each with a wooden lintel. A modern door provides access. The building forms a group with numbers 72 to 86 (consecutive), 86A, 87 to 104 (consecutive), and 104A, as well as with numbers 105 to 108 (consecutive) and 110. Numbers 72 to 81 (consecutive) and 83 to 85 (consecutive) within that group are considered buildings of local interest.
