Description
This is an archway with flanking ramped walls, dating from the early to mid-18th century, located approximately 120 metres northeast of Leathley Hall. The archway is constructed from ashlar stone, while the walls are made of brick in a random bond pattern. The overall length of the wall is about 20 metres and it stands 3 metres high, ramping up to approximately 4 metres over the archway. The ashlar coping adds to its architectural detail. The round-headed archway features single-block jambs, voussoirs with a large keystone, a cornice, and a stone block above.
