Description

Thornthorpe Bridge is a late 18th-century bridge, attributed to the architect John Carr based on its stylistic features. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar with a brick soffit to the arch. The bridge has a single span with a segmental arch and features a band and a plain coped parapet with milled coping stones. There are drums at either end of the bridge.
