Description

This is a row of four houses built in 1863. The houses are constructed of pink brick with ashlar stone detailing. They have steeply pitched slate roofs with overhanging eaves, decorative bargeboards along the gables, and dormers above each bay. The houses are two storeys high. A string course runs along the façade. Each of the four bays contains a pair of windows with trefoil-headed sashes and hoodmoulds above. There are two porches, each serving two front doors. The porches have steeply pitched slate roofs with bargeboarded gables and 2-centred arches with hoodmoulds, the hoodmoulds terminating in carved mask stops. Shields are set within the hoodmoulds; one displays the initials "WY" and the other displays the date "AD 1863".
