Description
Hall Farmhouse, cottage, and outbuildings are a group of structures that include a farmhouse, cottage, stable, and cart-shed with a hayloft above, all under one roof. They are dated 1871 and 1879 but were likely built earlier in the 19th century. The buildings are constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and stand two storeys high.
The farmhouse features three bays with sash windows that have glazing bars, and one lintel is inscribed with 'F M 1871'. There is a central porch that has been recently added. To the right of the farmhouse is a two-bay cottage with a boarded door. To the left, there is an added cart-shed with well-crafted voussoirs forming a segmental arch, and a stable that has a boarded door with a lintel inscribed 'F M 1879'. External stone steps lead to the boarded door of the hayloft, which has one shuttered window and one sash window above. The buildings have copings and ridge stacks at the ends, as well as at the ends of the house. The inscriptions refer to Francis Morley of Marrick Park.
