Description
Wharfedale Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has a three-cell linear plan and is double depth, standing two storeys high. There are four first-floor windows, and the corners of the building are accentuated with quoins.
The doorway, located in the third bay, has an overlight, monolithic jambs, and a hood supported by brackets. There is a window above the door and another to the left. Each of the other bays contains a window on both floors, featuring monolithic lintels and projecting sills that hold 16-pane sashes within flush-wood architraves. The gables are coped with kneelers, and there is a single ashlar ridge stack along with another stack on the rear roof pitch. On the right-hand return, there are two bays of windows on each floor, with the ground floor left bay featuring a canted stone bay with a wooden-framed window.
