Description

Springhead House is a mid-18th century house located on Spring Street, Easingwold. The house is constructed of red-brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern. A prominent stepped three-course band runs along the first floor. It has a wood eaves cornice and a swept pantile roof with raised verges and end stacks. The two-storey, two-bay house features a central 19th-century six-panel door surmounted by an oblong fanlight with reeded pilasters and consoles supporting a pediment. Sixteen-pane sash windows are set within flush wood architraves and have painted splayed lintels. The gable end exhibits tumbled-in brickwork.
