Description

Blayds House is a two-storey flat, originally a Methodist chapel, built in 1840. It is located on the west side of Spring Street, Easingwold. The building is constructed of pale brown local brick with a Welsh slate roof. It has five bays and features full-height round-arched recesses, detailing painted impost blocks. The central entrance features a panelled door and a radial fanlight. The round-arched windows contain 12 panes with radial glazing in the heads, all set within red brick arches. Painted imposts are visible on the ground floor windows. Steps leading to the entrance were added around 1980.
