Description
Bishop Blaize is a mid-18th century building located on the south side of Market Place. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick with a roof of stone slates pegged with sheep bones. The façade features four windows with 19th-century hung sashes, each with plain stone surrounds. The ground floor includes two paired square windows and one single square window. There is a central 19th-century door that has a plain case topped with a cornice supported by moulded brackets. Inside, the building boasts a notable early 18th-century staircase. Bishop Blaize is part of a group of listed buildings in Market Place.
