Description

These are late 18th-century buildings located on the west side of Market Place, at the corner of New Road. They are two storeys in height and constructed of red brick, with a rusticated stone quoin on the left side. The roof is covered with stone slates; however, number 35 has modern asbestos pantiles in a hipped configuration to the left. The front elevation features three windows on each floor, with gauged brick arches and stone sills. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars. A single brick stack is visible. On the ground floor, there are two small 19th-century canted bays. Number 35 includes a mid-19th-century doorcase with a cornice supported by brackets. Numbers 24 to 35 constitute a unified group.
