Description
Cruck Barn adjacent to The Castle Arms is a small barn dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with brick dressings and features a pantile roof. The barn is single storey. On the right side, there is a lower stable wing with a wooden stable door that has a timber lintel. On the left side, there is a two-light sliding sash window set under a concrete lintel, with brick jambs. Inside, the barn contains a single pair of crucks, with one cruck standing on a stone and the other embedded in the south wall. The crucks are connected to the purlins by arched braces. This building is included for its group value only.
