Description

Cherry Tree House is a mid-18th century house located on the west side of Main Street, Newby Wiske. It is constructed of red brick with rusticated stone quoins, and has a pantile roof. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. The central entrance features a six-panel door set within a flush wood architrave. All windows are four-pane sashes, with stone sills and stuccoed flat arches. A first-floor band runs around the building, and dentilled eaves add detail to the roofline. The house has shaped kneelers, brick coping, and end stacks.
