Description
South Otterington Bridge is a bridge built in 1776 by John Carr of York. It is constructed of ashlar and features five segmental arches, with the central arch being larger than the others. Each arch has voussoirs and hoodmoulds. On either side of the end arches, there are pilaster buttresses that support a coped parapet. The bridge has plain walls at each end. Notably, half of the bridge is located in the parish of Newby Wiske.
