Description
The Methodist Chapel, built in 1814, is a red brick structure laid in Flemish bond with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The central bay is set within a recessed arch, featuring a central six-panel door surrounded by a rusticated stone arched surround with a keystone. In front of the door is a modern gabled porch. Above the door, between the keystone and the first-floor window, is a stone panel inscribed with the words 'METHODIST CHAPEL'. All windows are 26-pane sashes, arched with stone sills and brick arches. There is a stone band at the first floor level, and the gutter is supported by paired plain brackets. The roof is hipped.
