Description
These gate-piers with attached walls, located approximately 20 metres south of Low Hall, date from the late 17th century and are constructed of ashlar stone. The gate-piers have square bases and pilasters that rise about 4 metres high, featuring recessed panels. They are topped with a moulded cornice and ball and cushion finials. The ramped walling, made of coursed gritstone with ashlar coping, extends approximately 6 metres to the east and 3 metres to the west. This structure is included for its group value.
