Description

58 Frenchgate is a mid-18th century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed from coursed stone and topped with a modern asbestos pantile roof. The quoins are made of longer stones. The façade features two windows that do not have glazing bars and are framed in plain stone. The entrance consists of a door with six fielded panels and a rectangular fanlight above it. This is set within a stone doorcase that includes reeded engaged columns, a reeded frieze, and a small cornice. The building is part of a group with No. 60.
