Description
These are two buildings, at numbers 81 and 83 Frenchgate, likely dating from the 17th century. They are constructed of stucco with a stone slate roof. Each building has two windows, lacking original glazing bars. The buildings are two storeys high, with a central brick stack. Number 83 features a small, early 19th-century shop window with new glazing bars, a panelled base, and a half-glazed door. A stone-surrounded archway is centrally located between the buildings. Numbers 55 to 75 (odd numbers) and 79 to 83 (odd numbers) form a group.
