Description
Middle Lodge and the attached gatepiers and gates at Broughton Hall were likely built in 1839 by George Webster. The lodge is constructed of ashlar stone and has a slate roof. It is a single-storey building with a cross-wing that projects towards the driveway. The entrance features a doorway framed by a gabled porch supported by coupled Doric pilasters. The eaves are boarded, and there are two chimneys at the ridge. The windows are chamfered and fitted with casements. At the south-east corner, there is a set of ornate iron gates that hang from square rock-faced gatepiers, which also support lanterns.
