Description
The terrace wall to the north of Broughton Hall is a Grade II listed retaining wall, built around 1855. It was designed by either Andrews and Delaunay or W A Nesfield. The wall is made of rock-faced stone and features a canted central section, with short piers that support urns, some of which are made of cast iron. This wall is part of the semi-formal setting for Broughton Hall, which also includes the retaining walls of the formal garden.
