Description

Teenley House and the adjoining barn date to approximately 1840. The farmhouse is constructed of limewashed squared rubble with painted stone dressings, topped with a stone slate roof. It follows a central staircase plan, with two storeys and three bays. The front entrance features a plain surround and a moulded hood, sheltering a four-panel door with glazed upper panels and a rectangular fanlight. Matching ground-floor windows have plain surrounds and sixteen-pane sashes; three similar, slightly smaller windows are located on the upper floor. A gable end ridge stack and a left-hand ridge stack sit at the junction with the barn. The barn has a window on its upper floor with a plain surround and a sixteen-pane sash.
