Description
This is a pair of houses located on Bond End in Knaresborough, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed squared millstone grit and feature a stone slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys and have two bays. The left side has a 20th-century glazed door with an overlight, while the right side has a 20th-century board door with an overlight. Throughout the houses, there are 16-pane sash windows set in flush wood architraves, except for a 20th-century top-hinged casement window on the ground floor to the right. The ground and first floors have splayed lintels with keystones and voussoirs. A central ridge stack with four flues is present on the roof.
