Description
No. 7 Bond End is a pair of cottages, now functioning as a single property, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features Westmorland slate roofs. It stands two storeys high, with a two-bay cottage on the left and a one-bay cottage on the right. The left cottage has a six-panel door and a 15-pane shop window to the left, both set in a wooden surround with a fascia board above. It also features 16-pane sash windows in flush frames. The right cottage has a 20th-century studded door to the right and one 3-light 20th-century casement window on each floor. Each cottage has a brick end stack on the left side. Notably, the eaves and ridge of the right dwelling are lower than those of the left. This property is included for its group value.
