Description
The Royal Oak Public House, located next to No 2 on Bond End in Knaresborough, is a public house dating from the mid-18th century. It features a rendered exterior and a Westmorland slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The central entrance consists of a panelled door framed by a wooden surround with consoles that support a cornice. To the far left, there is a segmental carriage arch. The windows throughout the building are 4-pane sashes set in flush wood architraves. The eaves are wooden and supported by gutter brackets. The gable has coping, and there is a stack at the right end, with another stack located between the first and second bays on the left.
