Bridge End Cottage

Bridge End Cottage, also known as Nos 43 and 43a, is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone and features a concrete pantile roof with brick stacks. The building has a central staircase plan and is one room deep, with a rear service range. It is two stories high and has a three-window front. The central door, which is from the 20th century, has a divided overlight and is flanked by 16-pane sash windows. The first floor features unequal 12-pane sash windows. All openings have keyed wedge lintels and timber window sills. At the rear, there are two and three-light small-pane horizontal sliding sashes with timber lintels. The roof is hipped with end stacks. The property is incorrectly marked as Bridge Farm on the Ordnance Survey map.
