SCAMPSTON SCAMPSTON HALL ESTATE Sundial approximately 50 metres south of Scampston Hall

Sundial. Early C19. Dial by Thomas Heath of London. Sandstone ashlar with copper dial and gnomon. Vase-shaped fluted pedestal on octagonal base, approximately 1.2 metres high. Pedestal decorated with a acanthus leaves, gadroons, key patterns and Vitruvian scrolls.
