Description
This is a bridge built in the late 18th century to early 19th century, located approximately 25 metres east of Low Whashton Springs Farmhouse. It is constructed from rubble and dressed stone and features a single round arch made of evenly dressed stone voussoirs with herringbone tooling, set within a recessed panel. The spandrels and parapet are made of rubble, with the parapet resting on a string above the recessed panel. The bridge has segmental coping and a cobbled carriageway. It formerly served as the main approach to Low Whashton Springs Farmhouse and is included for its group value.
