Description
Paddocks Cottage is a house from the mid to late 18th century, incorrectly marked as Gate Farm on the Ordnance Survey map. It is constructed from sandstone rubble that has been brought to course and features a pantile roof. The building has a three-cell hearth-passage plan and stands two storeys tall. The front door is a six-fielded-panel design, with the top two panels glazed, and is flanked by two Yorkshire sash windows. There is a 20th-century casement window to the extreme right, all situated beneath deep wedge lintels. On the first floor, there is a two-light Yorkshire sash window with a wooden lintel to the extreme right. The cottage has sprocketed eaves and features both end and ridge stacks.
