Description
Rose Cottage is a late 18th century building located on the west side of Beck Isle. It is two storeys high and constructed from coursed stone, topped with a pantile roof featuring stone coped gable ends and kneelers. Brick stacks are positioned at the gable ends, and there is a stone eaves cornice. The exterior includes rusticated painted quoins and three windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars, each with lintels that have keystones. On the ground floor, there are two canted bays with glazing bars, along with a six-panel door that has a rectangular fanlight with three lights above it, also featuring a lintel with a keystone. Rose Cottage is part of a group that includes Beck Isle Cottage, Beck Isle Museum, farm buildings, Fern Leigh, and premises occupied by J Watson.
