Description
The farm buildings located to the north of Beck Isle Museum date from the early 19th century and are arranged around a courtyard. The lower sections of the buildings flank the center, which is two storeys high and constructed from coursed rubble with a pantile roof featuring coped gable ends and kneelers. There are two small windows on either side of a hoist opening, with a carriage doorway below. The flanking sections contain a hoist opening above two pointed windows and a door, along with a circular window above one of the pointed windows and a garage door. Another side features a two-storey building made of coursed rubble with a pantile roof, which has two blocked windows and two blocked doors, all with wooden lintels. The opposite elevation has four windows above two doors. There is a stable block that is similar in construction. The farm buildings, along with Beck Isle Cottage, Beck Isle Museum, Fern Leigh, premises occupied by J Watson, and Rose Cottage, form a cohesive group.
