Description
Fern Leigh is a mid-19th century building located on the north side of Beck Isle. It is three storeys tall, constructed from coursed stone with a pantile roof. The top floor features two casement windows, while the first-floor windows have keystones and lack glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window and a modern door situated beneath a rectangular fanlight and keystone. The left-hand section of the building has a steeper roof and is lower in height, with a storage window positioned above a carriage doorway. Brick stacks are present on the roof. Fern Leigh is part of a visual group with other properties in Beck Isle, including Beck Isle Cottage, Beck Isle Museum, farm buildings, and premises occupied by J Watson and Rose Cottage.
