Description
This is a late 18th-century house situated on the east side of High Street, Cloughton. The house is constructed of coursed, hammer-dressed sandstone with a pantile roof and four rebuilt brick stacks. It follows a three-cell, hearth-passage plan.
The front of the house features a two-story, three-window facade. A panelled door is located to the left of the centre, above a plain, tooled lintel. Two-light horizontal sliding sashes flank the door, each with a keyed lintel. The end window to the right has been replaced by a 20th-century door. The upper windows are four-pane sashes with stone sills. The gable walls are coped and feature moulded kneelers. There are two end stacks, one with an external flue, situated to the left and right of the centre.
